Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose BajaVinoTours.com?
We're experts in the Valley. Your guide works as a winemaker, wine distributor, and is a wine enthusiast. You'll be able to relax and enjoy the day with a reliable and knowledgeable guide.
Where does the tour meet?
Old Town Transit Center.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes. We'd hate for you to arrive at the meeting point only to find there is no space on the bus.
What time does the tour return to Old Town Transit Station?
The tour intends to return between 6:30-7:00 PM. However, border waits vary from ten minutes to sixty minutes.
What wineries will we visit?
Most commonly, the winery visits LA Cetto, Santo Tomas, and Vina Liceaga.
What's for lunch?
We work with a gourmet taqueria in Ensenada that provides a variety of tacos including carne asada, chicken, cactus, squid, and pork. Quesadillas, beans, rice, salad, guacamole, salsa, fruit, water, and wine are also included.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Arrangements may be made per your dietary preference with advance notice.
Does the bus have bathrooms?
Yes.
What kind of identification do I need to cross the border?
American citizens must show proof of residence in the U.S. Typically, a driver's license and/or passport suffice. If you are unsure about your status or have never crossed the border, please contact the Department of Homeland Security.
What else should I bring?
You may like to bring your own bottled water, and/or a snack. Lunch is served after 1PM. You may like to bring crackers for the return trip.
How long will the border-crossing take?
This depends on the DHS threat level, available officers, and other traffic. Sometimes we pass within ten minutes, and other times we've waited sixty minutes.
Couldn't I drive myself?
Rather than deal with the hassle, let us drive you. Many roads are poorly marked and unpaved in the Guadalupe Valley. Furthermore, unless you're going to spit all day, drinking and driving is unsafe.
What if I don't speak Spanish?
No worries. You'll be accompanied by a bilingual tour guide.
